About Bridget’s Bunnies

Bridget's Bunnies is a registered charity that supports individuals and families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. Bridget’s Bunnies works to ensure no one endures pregnancy or infant loss alone. Bridget’s Bunnies relies on volunteers, individual donations, Bridget’s Run and grants to sustain its programs and services including Comfort Kits and Little Loss Library. 

Title: Comfort Kit Organizer

Reporting to the Development Coordinator, the Comfort Kit Organizer is responsible for organizing, assembling and tracking Comfort Kits. Comfort Kits are provided for free to individuals and families who experience pregnancy or infant loss. They offer gentle direction and compassion in the days and weeks following loss. On-demand Comfort Kits, ordered through the website, are processed and shipped within a 2-week period. Hospital Comfort Kits are processed and shipped quarterly. 

Hours: 2-4 hours a week; Tuesday – Thursday between the hours of 10:00 and 4:00 pm. 
Location: In-person; Bridget’s Bunnies Office, 65 Cedar Pointe Dr., unit 811A, Barrie

Roles and Responsibilities:

•    Keep the volunteer room clean and organized
•    Pack kits according to orders and keep kits restocked
•    Track supplies and inform the Development Coordinator when supplies are low
•    Strong attention to detail required
•    Must be organized, methodical and a great communicator
•    Enjoys working independently and collaboratively
•    Other administrative tasks as assigned

Volunteers would be responsible for stocking shelves, cleaning the store, re-organizing items, aseembling product, and assisting customers.

• Volunteers who are interested should visit the website to register to volunteer
• Volunteers must wear certified safety shoes (we can provide), be capable of lifting up to 25lbs, able to stand for extended periods of time and be comfortable with 2-3 step instructions

Accept, sort, price donations of household items: furniture; books; artwork; dishes; jewellery and other unique items for resale.  Create store displays and stock shelves.  Assist customers as needed.  Support staff with sales and checkout (may involve handling cash). 

May involve working with other volunteers, some of whom are people supported by E3 (ie.  adults living with intellectual/developmental disabilities).

Duties include supporting two separate locations with:  

• Food bank operations  
• Thrift store operations 
• Loading and unloading of inventory

Volunteers are needed to pack Good Food Boxes the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the Church Hall at Guardian Angels Church, from 8 am to 10 am.  
Volunteers are also needed from 10 am to 12 noon to assist individuals that are picking up their Good Food Boxes.

Job duties include sorting food, stocking shelves and fundraising during food drives. Positions available to serve clients on Tuesdays. Other duties as assigned.

• Answer public enquiries, and help customers find the titles they are seeking

• Tidying lobby and theatre / wiping down washrooms, prior to performance
• Selling 50/50 tickets prior to performance

Habitat for Humanity Midland ReStore is a warehouse and retail outlet located in Midland which receives donated construction materials, appliances, furniture and household items and sells them to the public.  
Volunteer staff are needed for: Stocking shelves, picking up materials locally, completing minor repairs, assisting the public with their purchases and sorting electronic waste recycling.

The Clothes Line is largely operated by an incredible team of dedicated volunteers. 
They perform a wide range of duties including: 
Sorting and Pricing Donations 
Organizing and Displaying Merchandise 
Designing Window Displays  
Assisting Customers

Gift Shop Clerk (Volunteer)

To provide friendly support and service to customers, patients, visitors and staff visiting the hospital Gift Shop. Proceeds from the gift shop help raise funds for hospital patient programs. This position is a great opportunity to work in a fun healthcare team environment.

Duties:

• Greet and assist customers, patients, visitors and staff
• Support, listen and interact with customers visiting the shop
• Provide excellent customer service
• Operate cash register (Square system) (credit card, debit, cash sales)
• Balance the cash at the end of the shift
• Stock shelves, organize and tidy shop
• Pricing of inventory
• Adhere to Waypoint policies and procedures

Training: on the job training, general orientation and on-going annual participation in mandatory education.

Gift Shop is open: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
